Help fight the Malaria epidemic

Welcome to His Nets!

His Nets is now in its sixth year of saving lives from malaria "one net at a time."  Starting with just 1,900 nets in 2005, our work has grown each year.  By the end of 2009, over 75,000 have been distributed which equals about 150,000 lives saved!

And His Nets remains one of the most cost-effective ways to fight malaria today.  While other organizations ask for $10.00 to deliever a net, we distribute the highest quality, family sized net for about $6.00.

Nets are purchased and distributed to families in Africa to protect them from malaria infected mosquitoes. Because the homes of many families in sub-Saharan Africa are small, one room affaires, one large net repels mosquitoes for an entire family for up to six years! According the World Health Organization, distribution of these nets is currently the best way to fight malaria!

The treated nets protect especially those most vulnerable to malaria: children under five and pregnant women. His Nets also distributes individual or smaller nets to children’s homes, orphanages, hospitals and clinics.

2010: A new year of challenges for His Nets

When His Nets began its work six years ago, it was one of the few mosquito net organizations in the world giving out insecticide treated nets for free.  Luckily today there are more than a dozen groups doing what His Nets does, though few (if any) are able to work so efficiently.

From primary school classes to civic groups and church groups to big hearted inviduals, His Nets partners with all types of people and organizations.  We help to raise money, secure nets at a reduced price and then get them distributed in some of the most remote places in the world.  We do not have a "one size fits all" approach, but rather a "let's see how we can work together" philosophy.

This is why in 2010, we already have over a dozen projects underway.  These include everything from providing nets to a Catholic orphanage and school in Malawi to working with an NGO in Uganda to improve the quality of life for every family in a remote village.

Check out our project list for 2010 and see where you can partner with us to help save two lives with each $6.00 net distributed.  Join the His Nets team and become a Life Saver in 2010!
